Cheese bread with zucchini - an appetizing alternative to the usual baking

Spicy substitute for ordinary bread exists. Light and airy with a taste of cheese and aroma of spices, bread and zucchini will not leave indifferent. The zucchini pulp replaces part of the flour in it, making baking less calorie and more healthy. Another plus is the absence of yeast. Such bread ideally complements the lunch menu. You can use it for different sandwiches.

It takes about an hour to bake flavored bread, and for a batch of 10-15 minutes.

Required Products:

  • 2 cups of flour;
  • 1 cup of grated squash;
  • 1 cup (with a slide) of grated hard cheese;
  • 1 cup buttermilk (you can substitute yogurt or low-fat sour cream);
  • 1 bag of baking powder;
  • 0.5 tsp soda;
  • 1.5-2 tbsp. Sahara;
  • 0.5 tsp salts;
  • 1 egg;
  • 30 g of melted butter;
  • a few feathers of green onions;
  • pepper, other seasonings and herbs - to taste.

To begin with, rub cheese with zucchini and chop greens. In a bowl, mix flour with baking powder, soda, salt, sugar and seasonings. In a separate container, mix the yogurt with the egg. Add melted butter there, after the mass becomes homogeneous, pour it into flour, add cheese, zucchini with greens, and then knead. At the exit we receive slightly sticky dough, approximately as on thick pancakes.

Fill the baking dish and send the bread to the oven heated to 230 ° C for about 1 hour. Readiness is easy to check by piercing bread in the middle with a toothpick. It should remain dry.

If desired, this bread can be prepared not only for the season. Grated zucchini perfectly stored in the freezer. You can prepare it in portions.
