Imagine an embroidery that resembles plush or velvet in its texture. You can make such, using ordinary threads, by means of a fringed seam. The technique resembles the usual cross-stitch, but on the front surface there are nodules of a special design that make the work fluffy. It is especially interesting to use such an embroidery for drawings that depict birds or animals.

Most often, such embroidery is combined with a cross, highlighting individual sections. Volumetric loops form, throwing on a knitting needle or hook. Then they will all be the same length. In fact, at the base of each cross an additional long loop is made, of a fixed length. Here is a simple diagram illustrating the sequence of actions for embroidery with this pattern.

Plush embroidery looks great on woolen and acrylic threads.
